We present an all original 1954 Fender Telecaster “Blackguard” in Blond. Made in Fullerton, California.
This is a one owner guitar that was owned by a lady that was a music-teacher for many years. It has been taken well care of for the last 66 years and is in amazing condition for its age. The original frets and nut are in perfect working order with plenty of life left in them. Small playing wear on the fretboard maple, so she definitely played that guitar very softly.
Overall, the condition is great and this is one of the nicest “Blackguard” Telecasters we have ever seen. The lovely grain of the ash body shows very well through the Blond finish. There is some light playing (edge) wear and small surface chips, dings , finish checking and other cosmetic wear. The original owner kept the guitar very well, and it even comes complete with the most valuable original strap and ashtray.
This lightweight ash body guitar sounds incredibly good and the original pickups are well balanced. Great woody dry tone with a lot of sustain. Just a perfect Telecaster and the sound we all look for.
