We present an exceptional set from the original owner. Made in Fullerton, california.

The story of the pair, as far as we know, is that Bobby and his brother played guitar and bass in The Viscounts in the late 1950s and 1960s. Their most successful song was a cover of Harlem Nocturne. He said he recorded it with this Jazzmaster, the DeArmond tremolo, and the Bassman. On the record You can really hear the DeArmond front and center in the song too.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfAv8yAaHps

Original 1960 Fender Jazzmaster In Blond finish.

This is an all original and 100% complete 1960 Fender Jazzmaster in Blond finish. This Custom Color is absolutely a joy to play. The original owner played and loved this guitar. All hang tags and case candy are included. He kept everything in its original hardshell case. Overall this pre-CBS Jazzmaster is in excellent shape for its age with only nicks, dings and other cosmetic play wear. The pickups are strong and well balanced. 1- piece ash body is so resonant and very light for a Jazzmaster. The See Through blond finish is beautiful and have turned yellowed over the years. Dark rosewood slab board with clay dots. The maple neck is straight and perfect and has some play spots. The original frets are low but there is still plenty of life left in them including the original nut.

Pickups and electronics/wiring are untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.

Comes complete with its original Fender brown hardshell case w/yellow interior. Latches and handle in perfect working order.

  • Neck pickup: 7.65  kOhm.
  • Bridge pickup: 7. 89  kOhm.
  • Weight: 3.61 Kilograms.

Original 1959 Fender Bassman tweed 5F6-A Narrow Panel.

The original owner also purchased this amplifier back in 1959. Loved and played it, but is still extremely well kept.

The mother of all amps.

The amplifier is in gorgeous original shape and sounds incredibly good and even comes complete with its original Victoria cover. This amp reacts well to a host of effects pedals and different guitars, but truly shines with the guitar plugged straight into the amp. One of the best tweed that Fender ever made and also the most copied amplifier in the world. But this one is the real deal. The circuit is original and has just been serviced with new filter caps, resistors and some new tubes. The pre amp tubes are still NOS.

The original tweed covering and grill cloth is in excellent shape. The plastic handle is intact and also original. The transformers are intact and all original.  All 4 speakers are original – Jensen P10R alnico 10″ speaker with a clean teal frame and Jensen sticker. Only one of the speaker has been re-coned. The other date code is the stamp on the very clean/original tube chart. The serial number stamped on the chassis also matches the hand-serialized tube chart.

The amp is fully serviced and ready to be played.

This is one of our most incredible guitar sets we have ever had and even comes with a well documented history and picture of the original owner
