Original 1960 Fender Jazzmaster – Blond finish.

We present an exceptional 1960 Fender Jazzmaster in Blond finish from the original owner. Made in Fullerton, California.

The story as far as we know, is that Bobby and his brother played guitar and bass in The Viscounts in the late 1950s and 1960s. Their most successful song was a cover of Harlem Nocturne. He said he recorded it with this Jazzmaster, the DeArmond tremolo, and the Bassman. On the record you can really hear the DeArmond front and center in the song too.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfAv8yAaHps

All original and 100% complete 1960 Fender Jazzmaster in Blond finish. This Fender Custom Color is absolutely a joy to play. The original owner played and loved this Fender Jazzmaster, but at the same time kept it it’s original condition.  All hang tags and case candy are included. He kept everything in its original hardshell case.

Overall, this 1960 pre-CBS Fender Jazzmaster is in excellent shape for its age with only nicks, dings and other cosmetic play wear. The pickups are strong and well balanced. The ash body is so resonant and very light for a Jazzmaster. The See Through Blond finish is beautiful and has turned yellowed over the years. Dark rosewood slab board with clay dots. The maple neck is straight and perfect and has some play spots. The original frets have still plenty of life left  including the original nut.

Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.

Comes complete with its original Fender Brown hardshell case w/Yellow interior. Latches and handle are in perfect working order. Full picture documentation of the original owner and provenance are included.
