1960 Gibson ES-125 TCD – Sunburst

We present an all original and 100% complete 1960 Gibson ES-125 TCD in Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This is a rare and early 1960 Gibson ES-125 TCD. It was Gibson’s most versatile lower-end archtop guitar. It features cutaway laminated maple body, one piece mahogany neck with a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with pearl dots. Two great-sounding P-90 pickup’s that are hot and well balanced. This is a very comfortable neck shape. It’s not the 1960 slim-taper neck, but between a 1959 & 1960 neck. Standard trapeze tailpiece and an adjustable wooden bridge

Overall, this semi-hollow guitar is in excellent clean condition. The finish shows some minor nicks, dings and other cosmetic playwear. The headstock face has some minor edge chips and tone chip on the corner is glued back. The original tuners are in perfect working order, include the original white cream tuner button’s. Otherwise, the neck is clean as it can be with no breaks or repairs. The original frets have been crowned so there are plenty of life left in them. Even comes with a sales recipt from the 70’s.

Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.

Comes complete with its original and more desirable brown hardshell case with pink interior. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.

  • Width of nut: 1/11-16.
  • Neck pickup: 9.6 kOhm.
  • Bridge pickup: 8.84 kOhm.
  • Weight: 2.59 kilograms.
