1962 Fender Jazzmaster – Olympic White

We present an all original and 100% complete 1962 Fender Jazzmaster in Olympic White finish. Made in Fullerton, California.

This rare pre-CBS Fender Jazzmaster is in near mint condition and it even comes complete with original bridge cover, tremolo arm and strap. Even more it has the original flat wound strings in the case. This Fender Jazzmaster is first year of production with matching headstock.

Cosmetically, this guitar is out if this world. Super clean with a few tiny nicks and scratches. The neck profile and headstock face is clean as it can be. This is an exceptional example of a pre-CBS Jazzmaster in a Custom Color finish! The fingerboard has a beautiful dark rosewood slab board with clay dots. The frets and nut looks like new and have plenty of life left.

The Olympic White finish is like Snow White that also lead us to the early production of Custom Color; Olympic White. In the beginning Fender didn’t have thick clear coat or any clear coat on Olympic White finish like later in the the pre-CBS production. This Fender Jazzmaster is powerful, resonant and extremely versatile, this is everything you’d expect from a guitar produced in the Fender’s golden age period. This guitar is so amazing and a super rare piece of history as well as a top collector piece and notch player!

Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.

Comes with its original Fender brown hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
