1964 Fender Stratocaster – Sunburst
We present an original Fender Stratocaster in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This 1964 pre-CBS Stratocaster is all original expect for new frets and nut. This guitar has a lot of mojo from being played / well loved since 1964, but still in really good condition with a resonant body and neck. It features a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with clay dots and One-Line Kluson tuners, which are in perfect working order. The weight is fantastic and the grey bottom pickups are well-balanced with a great tone and soul. The 3-tone sunburst finish still looks gorgeous with a strong red and yellow color – not much fading.
Over the years it’s gotten a sizable amount of playing spots on the back and sides where paint has been chipped. The headstock is clean as it can be including the “transition logo”. The back of the neck has some play spots with a great mojo look. Overall just a stunning pre-CBS Stratocaster, that is amazing all the way through.
Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Complete with its original Fender black tolex hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
