We present an all original 1965 Gibson SG Standard in its original Cherry finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This gorgeous piece is true vintage beauty in Excellent + condition. It was purchased directly from the original in December 2021. The Gibson SG has a great weight with a killer/resonant tone & feel. Overall, the guitar has a beautiful look to it with minor play wear. The Cherry finish is still strong Red with with tiny finish checking. This Gibson features 1-piece slender mahogany narrow neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. Original frets shows minor wear and there are plenty of lige left in them. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition.

Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition. There was a tiny small seam separation( only on the basse side) that is repaid with little glue. But no breaks only the common tiny seam seperation. We include before and after photo.

The solid mahogany body is also in 1-piece. Gibson “Lyre” chrome tremolo tailpiece &  Nickel ABR-1 bridge with adjustable nylon saddles. In 1965 Gibson is going from nickel to chrome hardware. So in that periode it’s very normal with a mix of nickel and chrome in the hardware.  Black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks & only slight warping. Gibson “Patent Number” humbuckers with chrome covers & black bezels. Dual volume & tone controls with black knobs 3-way toggle switch.

The original case offered with the SG is the original case with black exterior and plush yellow/orange interior. The original latches and handle are also intact.

Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct. Even comes complete with its original hang tags and manual.
