We present an original and rare 1965 Supro S6422 TR Amplifier. This is a hand-wired point-to-point all-tube Supro amp manufactured in Chicago by Valco Mfg. Co.

This 5-6 watt amp is pushed through a single 6V6 power tube, a 5Y3 rectifier tube, and four 12AX7 preamp tubes through a new single 10″ Jensen Mod 10-35 speaker.

The over-sized 10″ speaker gives the 5-6 watts a nice full sound, much better than a speaker more commonly associated with a single-6V6 amp, such as a 6″ or 8″ speaker. It’s also much better for recording because it doesn’t lose the bass notes and sound as boxy as an 8″ speaker.

The amp was just recently serviced. A 3-prong cord was added for safety and all the electronics and pots were cleaned.

The reverb and tremolo works perfectly, which is pretty rare with these amps.  The tremolo is very round and choppy and the reverb has that special raw and washed kind of reverb.

To keep it as original as possible you need a stepdown transformer. We have these in stock and can be purchased through Guitar Hunter. https://guitarhunter.dk/product/toroidy-ats300va-stepdown-converter-230-110v/
