The Gibson Acoustic Songwriter Studio Cutaway comes with Fishman’s powerful Prefix Plus-T acoustic pickup system. This system, which is very popular at Sweetwater, features an under-saddle pickup that combines with a powerful side-mounted preamp for a robust, lively, and natural acoustic sound with excellent dynamics and delicate high end. Controls include Bass, Contour, Treble, and Brilliance to make carving out your sonic territory fast and intuitive. Add in the onboard tuner, and you have a powerful live-performance tonal solution.

Rich, detailed overtones abound from the Songwriter Cutaway’s solid rosewood back and sides, and they look fantastic. What’s more, the Songwriter is topped with solid Sitka spruce, adding rich and powerful accents to your sound. When you imagine what an acoustic guitar is supposed to sound like, this is it. Gibson even incorporated 1930s-style hand-scalloped Advanced X-bracing, further enhancing your tone and projection.

The Songwriter Cutaway has a Comfort Contour neck profile that feels at home in your hand whether you’re playing chords or single-note lines.
