I present this beautiful Pre-war Gibson. This Flat-Top is an original Gibson L-0 from 1938 in its rare Black finish.
The guitar has an excellent low action and very balanced rich / punchy tone with a lot of volume. It’s simply a fantastic old guitar with a lot of tone and history. It has an X braced Adirondack spruce top, mahogany back and sides. A very good beefy mahogany “V” neck with rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. 1 3/4 Ebony nut and original nitrocellulose black finish.
The spruce top got some cracks which is common on these old guitars. All cracks are professional repaired by a Luthier. The repairs also including a neck reset, repaired broke neck hell, reglue bridge and 50% old overspray on the top and followed by a buffing. The guitar has paint chips and dings that shows that this guitar is very old.
All parts are original exception of the the ebony bridge pins and saddle and some screws. This 80 years old killer from Kalamazoo is ready to be played and definitely deserve it.
It comes with a non-original hardshell case.
