We present an original and early 1956 Fender Champ tweed 5E1- Narrow Panel. Made in Fullerton, California.

This beauty is simple, elegant and clean enough to satisfy collectors and serious players. The this the early version with the rare original Oxford  6¨ Speaker.

This vintage Champ boasts its original lacquered tweed and hallowed 5E1 circuit. It doesn’t get much more pure than the Champ, and this studio favorite delivers freakishly dynamic and glassy pure tube tone that can go from clean to fully saturated overdrive with a twist of the single knob. It’s also the transition year were it has the smallest cabinet, just right before they go over to the a bigger cabinet in 1956. The Champ has been well cared for over the decades and is stocked with the original Oxford 6″ speaker that just have been reconed and the circuit has been serviced with some new caps and resistors so it can run perfectly. Both transformers are original as well. New 3 prong power cable installed.

Cosmetically, the original lacquered tweed is in great shape with some honest wear over the years. Overall, the tweed looks particularly great and uniformly aged, with original nailed in feet and even the original leather handle. Still has the tag from the original store in Spokane, Washington.

To keep it as original as possible you need a stepdown transformer. We have these in stock and can be purchased through Guitar Hunter. https://guitarhunter.dk/product/toroidy-ats300va-stepdown-converter-230-110v/
