1956 Fender Tremolux Amp Tweed 5E9 – Narrow Panel

We present an original 1956 Fender Tremolux Amp tweed 5E9 – Narrow Panel. Made in Fullerton, California.

This tweed amplifier is one of the most tonally distinctive and sweet sounding amps of Fender’s 1950s “Narrow Panel” Tweed era. The Tremolux essentially combined the tonal richness and dynamic, touch sensitive circuit with a bias-based footswitchable tremolo. A larger open back cabinet on a Tremolux gives the tone more depth, low end and roundness overall.

The chassis is clean and also the chrome control plate is in great shape, along with the stock chicken head knobs. The metal handle ends are newer, along with a newer handle (the original handle and handle ends are included). Both transformers are original. There is installed a new prong power cord, 2 pots, cabs and resistors so it can run perfectly. All the original parts that have been changed are included with the amp.

The original alnico Jensen P12Q 12″ speaker is in perfect shape and sounds fantastic. The original lacquered tweed are intact and showing light ambering and some minor scuffs and other cosmetic wear. The original oxblood grillcloth is tight with a little burn- hole in the cloth (nothing to be aware of). It even comes complete with its original and rare woody footswitch

The original tube chart is present as well and very clean with crisp corners and hand inked serial number.
