1956 Gibson ES-125 – Sunburst

We present an all original 1956 Gibson ES-125 in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The Gibson ES-125 has an adjustable intonate bridge and trapeze tailpiece. This model was Gibson’s work-horse electric and it’s not overly adorned with inlays, which gives this Sunburst  a stripped down and mean look.

It’s genius all the way around with bound top and back with cream binding. A great player with an amazing original P-90 that sounds healthy and balanced.  Only beautiful finish checking with some wear and dings that give the guitar a great vibe and good looking.

The neck is straight and the profile is the typical large round early 50’s profile neck which is not only comfortable, but also great for tone and sustain. The ES-125 has a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dots. There is no cracks or any breaks. The original frets needs to be dressed to get the perfect playability.

Pickup and the Electronics/wiring remains untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickup. All original and correct.

Comes with its original Gibson chipboard case. Handle is missing and we recommend not to use it.

  • Width at nut: 1 11/16″
  • Neck pickup: 7.75 KOhm.
  • Weight: 2.6 Kilograms
