We present an original 1956 Gibson J-45 in its original Sunburst finish.
There really is nothing like a vintage Gibson tone. This J-45 is a prime representation of what all the commotion is about. Very strong, woody basses and crisp, cutting trebles combined with dry open Gibson sound. This flat-top has scalloped bracing with a gorgeous spruce top. The guitar plays beautifully with low action and clarity up the neck. The neck profile is a comfortable slightly less full, rounded. Everything about the guitar is just perfect. Architecturally this guitar is very close to a banner logo wartime J-45.
The original finish has beautiful finish checking and nicks, dings and other cosmetic play-wear. Bridge plate is also original.
The original frets and nut has plenty of life left. Original open-back Kluson tuners The pickguard has shrunken and caused the typical and common tiny crack next to the fretboard below high E-string, but this one is only superficial.
Comes complete with its original chipboard case.
