We present an all original 100% complete 1958 C.F. Martin D-18 flat top in exceptional clean condition. Made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
In 1958 Martin Dreadnoughts were the most sought-after flattops in the world, considered the world standard. 976 D-18’s were made that year and many were gigged heavily for years or decades to come. The D-18 and D-28 were the undisputed favorites of many professional Country & Western entertainers when new and are still known as fantastic guitars for a wide range of styles.
Overall this guitar is in near mint condition with extremely minor dings on the top. The frets are in excellent shape with hardly any wear. This is a great playing and lovely sounding old D-18, with a comfortable action and powerful but evenly balanced tone. Never had a neck reset or any breaks or repairs. Just an insane clean example that is well kept over the decades. Tough to find in that condition and even more from the original owner. The original natural lacquer finish is in perfect condition. Beautiful spruce top, mahogany back, sides and 1-piece mahogany neck.
Comes with its original hardshell case, key to the case and original robe strap. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
