We present an original 1962 Gibson SJ (Southern Jumbo) in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This is a great looking square shoulder in great shape without any crack repairs. The mahogany on this Gibson guitar has particularly interesting grain with a beautiful spruce top. Great looking lacquer finish checking that goes all around guitar. Beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with parallelogram inlays. It has cream-black-cream binding on top, with single cream binding on back and sides. This guitar has a great setup and playability. The sound is great, even with the original adjustable saddle. Overall, a great piece of Gibson history, perfect set up with excellent action, neck angle is superb, crisp highs, punchy mid and with warm lows.
