We present an all original 1964 pre-CBS Stratocaster in its original Lake Placid Blue finish.

This rare Custom Color guitar is all original except for a professional refret with a new nut. It’s a prime example of why these early Fenders are so coveted. A beautiful playing neck and sounding instrument in fantastic condition, with just enough cosmetic wear to give it some mojo. This pristine maple neck is a medium c-shape profile with beautiful dark curved (veneer) rosewood fretboard with clay dots. It’s set up as a super fast and easy player. The condition is incredibly nice and only has some very few nicks and dings. Finish checking and has some belt buckle wear on the back. The Mint Green Pickguard is in perfect shape with no cracks or any repairs. The original Grey Bobbins Pickups are very strong/ warm and clear with a lively tone, woody and glassy at the same time, with a perfect balance between the set.

Pickups and electronics/wiring are untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct. This guitar is so amazing and a super rare piece of history as well as a top collector piece and a top notch player!

It even comes complete with its original non-logo hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order. Including periode correct polish cloth and original strap.
