We present an original 1965 Gibson SJ -Southern Jumbo in Cherry Sunburst finish. made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This is a great looking square shoulder Southern Jumbo in great shape. The mahogany in this guitar has particularly interesting grain. Great looking lacquer finish checking that goes all around this beautiful Dreadnought. In my opinion, the pickup-systems in this guitar is one the best there is. The pickup is a K&K system and its sounds so good.

Beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with great original frets. 3 pcs. mother of pearl inlays in the fretboard has been replaced. The bindings on the neck, close to the original nut, has shrinking a little bit, that is quite common for Gibson to. This vintage Gibson has cream-black-cream binding on top, with single cream binding on back and sides, all antiqued. The original Kluson DeLuxe tuners is in great shape. All original finish with no touch up or overspray or any crack repairs on the body.

This guitar has great setup and playability. The sound is great even with the original adjustable ceramic saddle.

Comes with a newer hardshell case
