1968 Gibson Country Western – Natural

We present an original 1968 Gibson Country Western – Natural finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This guitar is an eye catcher. This Gibson has only had one owner who bought it off the rack in 1968. This guitar has been played ever since it was bought, so there is definitely some signs of wear, but there aren’t too many significant dings or scratches. Just beautiful finish checking all over the body.

This Gibson has a slender mahogany neck with cream binding and black side dots. Beautiful mother of pearl parallelogram inlays on the rosewood fingerboard. Has a nice Spruce top with a rosewood bridge and saddle. Large tortoise pickguard and a multi-ring rosette.

Comes complete with a newer hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.

  • Nut width 1-9/16.

Repair that has been done by a professional Luthier:

  • New saddle.
  • Original plastic bridge from the period has been replaced professionally with a rosewood bridge.
  • Strap button is installed on the neck heel.
  • New white Kluson tuners are installed.
