We present an original 1969 C.F. Martin D-28 in absolutely STUNNING condition. Made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.

This 1969 C.F. Martin D-28 is about as nice as you can find. A piece like this is near impossible to find in that condition. So much powerful sound and sustain in this beautiful dreadnought. The mahogany neck is in fantastic shape with no dings on back or missing lacquer. The veneer rosewood peghead with its CF Martin Logo decal is in great shape without any fading. The premium wide-grain spruce top is so fantastic. Overall this guitar only have extremely few nicks, dings, finish checking  and other cosmetic play-wear. This model has a beautiful straight-grained rosewood back and sides. Martin considered straight-grained rosewood to be the most premium wood in that periode.

Ebony fingerboard has graduated pearl dot inlays. Top has 6-ply multiple white/blk/white bindings; back shows 3-ply white/black/white bindings. Decorative wood marquetry strip in center of back. Antiqued white heelcap and endwedge. Original “red eye” bridge pins and Grower tuners. Newer frets shows very little play spots and the original Ivory nut is in perfect shape with a lot of life left.

Comes complete with its original Victoria luggage hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.

Repair that has been done by a professional Luthier.

  • The original Ebony bridge and pickguard has been reglued.
  • Neck reset, so it has the perfect action.
  • A little crack repair on the side.
  • A little crack repair under the pickguard close to the high E-string.
