One of Taylor’s first guitars with the Grand Pacific body shape, this refined dreadnought-style acoustic guitar offers the ultimate experience in both feel and sound. The Builder’s Edition 517 features back and sides of solid mahogany with a torrefied Sitka spruce top, plus our tone-boosting V-Class bracing under the hood. The result is a warm, seasoned tone with notes that blend and overlap, with a strong midrange response that minimizes overtones. Ergonomic touches include chamfered body and fretboard edges, along with a compound-carve neck profile that adjusts for the changing position of your hand as you move down the fretboard. This acoustic-only model sports our Silent Satin noise-reducing finish and ships with a hardshell case.
