1954 Gibson ES-295 – Gold
We present an all original 1954 Gibson ES-295 in its original All Gold. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Only 357 Gibson ES-295 guitars were made in 1954, and we’re very proud to offer this beautiful historical piece. It even comes with its original hang tags.
This is an amazingly clean example of one of Gibson’s all-time flashiest archtops, the ES-295. This Gibson is flawless and in excellent+ condition. It features an all-gold body — front, back, and sides — which has hardly faded. Only an armrest spot from sweat is visible on the upper bout of the guitar’s front, along with oxidation from sweat on the gold finish on the back of the neck. The cream-colored floral-decorated pickguard is in exceptionally good condition.
The model is equipped with two original and completely untouched P-90 pickups with their original cream plastic “dog ear” covers. The pickups sound amazing and are well-balanced. The classic four amber “hatbox” knobs work perfectly. The guitar has a laminated maple body with a mahogany neck and a bound rosewood fingerboard, featuring the double parallelogram inlays along with a pearl crown headstock inlay.
The original Kluson Deluxe tuners with amber keystone buttons are in good condition, functioning perfectly and turning smoothly. The eye-catching, adjustable, patent-pending “Les Paul” trapeze-style bridge/tailpiece is also original and looks beautiful on this guitar. All the gold hardware is in great shape and has aged beautifully.
It’s 100% original throughout – Just as it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1954.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and 100% correct.
Comes with its original brown Gibson hardshell case with pink lining. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
