1957 Gibson Les Paul Junior – Sunburst
We present an all original 1957 Gibson Les Paul Junior in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Overall, this guitar is in very clean condition with few nicks, dings and other cosmetic play wear. The color of the Sunburst is vibrant, still retaining that red layer, that wonderfully contrasting the natural finish on the back with beautiful finish checking. The original frets are in great shape and there is plenty of life left in them.
A Gibson Singlecut mahagony body with 1-piece mahagony neck is just a great combination. Gorgeous rosewood fretboard with dot inlays. This guitar has a nice big, but not chunky neck profile. The P-90 “Dog ear” singlecoil pickup sounds fantastic. Black singlelayer pickguard, Aluminum lightweight wrab-over tailpiece. The single cutaway Junior models from 1957-1958 benefit from an improved bridge position as compared to earlier models that suffer from leaning bridges as a result of placement/shallow bridge studs.
Pickup and the electronics/wiring remains untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickup. All original and correct.
Comes with its original chipboard case and hang tag. Newer handle on the case.
