Description & Specifications

1963 Gibson Les Paul (SG) Junior – Cherry

We present an original 1963 Gibson Les Paul (SG) Junior in its original Cherry finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This Gibson Junior is all original except for a brand new nut. Otherwise it’s exactly like it left the Kalamazoo factory in 1963. The original Cherry finish remains strong with minor fading. Beautiful dark rosewood fretboard with pearloid dots and 2 x “3 on a stripe” Kluson tuners. Overall, the guitar is in great shape with some nicks, dings, minor finish checking behind the headstock, and other cosmetic play wear. No breaks or repairs.

The original frets have plenty of life left. The Gibson P-90 pickup sounds amazing and remains very strong.

There is so much resonance in this 1-piece, lightweight mahogany body. It’s incredibly lively and clear acoustically. It absolutely roars and can deliver everything from glassy, articulate cleans to growling, heavy overdrive. The 1-piece fat neck is a joy to play.

The pickup and other electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no re-wound pickup. All original and correct.

Comes complete with its original Alligator chipboard case. Newer handle on the case.
