1964 Fender Precision Bass – Candy Apple Red
We present an all original 1964 Fender Precision bass in its original Candy Apple Red finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
Condition
This stunning 1964 Fender Precision Bass is well-worn and has an incredible MOJO. You can tell this bass have been loved for many years and have been used countless times on stage and in the studio. A custom color Candy Apple Red finish pre-CBS Precision bass is definitely not something you stumble upon everyday. The playability is excellent and it has a great intonation. It features a comfortable straight maple neck with a gorgeous dark veneer rosewood fingerboard with clay dots. The alder body is a lovely light-weight example and is very resonant. The original frets are flawless and have plenty of life left.
Originality
This Fender Custom Color Precision lives up to its “holy grail” bass status. It is 100% all original with no modifications, breaks or any repairs. Even comes complete with original bridge and pickup cover. The original pickup sounds fantastic and is everything you would expect from a ’64 Precision Bass.
Pickup and the electronics/wiring remains untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickup. All original and correct.
Comes with its original Fender black non-logo tolex hardshell case with one broken latch.
