1957 Fender Stratocaster – Sunburst
We present an original 1957 Fender Stratocaster in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
History
This 1957 pre-CBS Fender Stratocaster was bought back in 2019 from the original owner, who bought it back in the 58 (Picture documentation is included) and as you can tell he really played and loved this guitar. We sold it back then and now we are so lucky to get it again from a collector. Afterwards, we got a pro refret and a new handcrafted bone nut, since the original frets and nut were done. The original frets and nut are included. The 1957 Strats are some of the most popular and desirable Strats from the 50’s.
Condition
Overall this incredible Stratocaster is in good condition but has a lot of play-wear, finish checking and nicks/dings all over the 2-piece alder body. It has one of the most incredible look that we have ever seen on a ’57 Strat. The original 2-tone Sunburst finish has worn spots down to the bare wood, which of course only add to the breathtaking atmosphere and mojo that this guitar has. The maple V-neck has an incredible amount of play-wear, you can really tell that this guitar has been loved. The original “Pat.nr.stamped” steel-saddles and hardware has become worn and aged. The saddles screws is cleaned so they can run perfectly again.
Originality
This guitar is all original except for new frets and nut, otherwise completely stock with no modifications. The original black bottom pickups are very strong and well-balanced. One of the original plastic tone-knobs is broken and it’s include in the case and can work if you want to add it again, but we replaced it with a period correct one. This guitar is so amazing piece of history as well as a top collector piece and a top notch player.
Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes complete with the original hardshell tweed case, whammy bar, and pictures of the original owner.
