1964 Fender Stratocaster – Sunburst
We present an original 1964 Fender Stratocaster in Sunburst. Made in Fullerton, California.
This pre-CBS Stratocaster is an early 1964 that features “spagetti Logo” and black bottom pickups. Overall, an amazing guitar has been played since 1964 and you can see it and definitely hear it. This guitar plays and sounds like a dream, with lots of resonance in the body and neck. The weight is good with great balance and tone of soul. This guitar is all original except for an extra string tree on the headstock.
It’s in excellent condition with sizable amount of playing spots on the back and sides where paint has been chipped. It shows very nice chips, dings in the finish, that has given the guitar a great vibe and good looks. The body and neck have no cracks or repairs. Frets show minor denting and have been milled, but there are still a lot of life in the frets. Good warm/played and tinted maple neck, with a beautiful curved (veneer) rosewood fretboard and of course with clay dots.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
It comes with an early Fender brown hardshell case. latches and handle are in perfect working order.
