1955 Fender Precision Bass “Blackguard” – Blond
We present an all original and 100% complete 1955 Fender Precision bass in its original Blond finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
The pre-CBS Precision bass was introduced in 1951. But in 1954 Fender altered the design to include contours like the Stratocaster. Overall, this bass is in great condition for its age. Some play wear around the body, belt buckle wear, nicks, dings and other cosmetic wear.
The original finish is beautiful on this ash body. This Fender Precision bass is an early 1955 with 54 appointments. The original frets and nut has still plenty of life left and the headstock is clean as it can be. It features lacquered black pickguard, single pickup and chrome hardware that also matched the telecaster. The 1 -piece maple neck is in fantastic shape with minor play spots on the neck. The single coil pickup is truly special, as it has a deep, full sound with beautiful clarity and it’s well balanced. An amazing bass, light weight, and one of the best playing & sounding 50’s Precision basses we’ve ever seen.
Comes complete with its original and extremely rare Poodle hardshell case. The latches and handle are in perfect working order.
Pickup and the electronics/wiring remains untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickup. All original and correct.
