1956 Fender Telecaster – Blonde
We present an all original and 100% complete 1956 Fender Telecaster in Blonde finish, made in Fullerton, California.
Overall, this pre-CBS Fender Telecaster is in incredibly clean condition, showing only the most minimal signs of wear. It even includes its original rare gig bag, cable, and ashtray bridge cover.
It features a beautiful “soft V”-shaped maple neck with well-preserved original frets, and the guitar is exceptionally lightweight thanks to its one-piece ash body. The single-line Kluson Deluxe tuners are like new and turn perfectly. This beauty delivers a truly authentic 1950s Telecaster tone, with original vintage-style wiring and cloth-covered wires. The guitar sounds absolutely phenomenal, with strong, resonant, and well-balanced pickups.
Structurally, the guitar is rock solid — no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind.
Everything is 100% original throughout on this guitar – Just like it left the Fullerton factory back in ’56.
This example features several early design elements, as 1956 was a transition year for Fender. It has the round-button string tree, which was later replaced in 1956 by the “butterfly” style. It also features chrome-plated brass knobs with a coarse knurl and rounded tops, which were later changed that same year to fine-knurled, flat-top pot-metal knobs.
This is truly an exceptional piece — one of the cleanest we’ve ever had. A fantastic collector’s item with historical significance, and an outstanding instrument in terms of tone and playability.
The pickups and electronics are completely untouched and original, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. 100% original and correct.
