Description & Specifications

1958 Gibson ES-225T – Sunburst

We present an all original 1958 Gibson ES-225T in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This Gibson ES-225T is a single cutaway thin-body guitar, featuring one P-90 pickup and a combination trapeze tailpiece/bridge (like early Gibson Les Paul models).

Overall, this vintage Gibson guitar is in excellent condition. It has been well cared for over the years and shows some finish wear, especially on the back of the neck, along with a few dings, scratches, and other cosmetic playwear. As is natural for vintage lacquer finishes, there is a gorgeous amount of lacquer checking.

The frets are original and still have plenty of life left. Good chunky ’58 mahogany neck with dark rosewood fingerboard and pearl dot inlays. The original Kluson Deluxe tuners with cream plastic buttons are still in place and working perfectly. The single P-90 pickup in the middle position feeds to a single volume and tone control, with the output jack on the side. Just a stunning vintage hollow-body electric guitar that sounds incredible.

It’s 100% original throughout – Just as it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1958.

The pickup and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no re-wound pickup. All original and correct.

Comes complete with a non-original hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
