Description & Specifications

1958 Gibson Les Paul Junior DC – Cherry

We present an all original 1958 Gibson Les Paul Junior DC in its original Cherry finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Condition

This 1958 Gibson Les Paul Junior DC is the first year of production and one of the early versions with a thick slab mahogany body and a four-digit ink-stamped serial number. This rare Gibson Junior guitar is in excellent, clean condition with only minor nicks, dings, and other light cosmetic wear. It sounds amazing with its original P-90 pickup, which is well-balanced. Great lightweight mahogany body with almost no fading — the finish is still a vibrant, bright red.

Originality
This ’58 Gibson Les Paul Junior DC is 100% original throughout – just as it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1958. It even comes complete with the original hang tags. The original frets have plenty of life left. The original “2/3 Kluson on the strip” tuners are still in place and work flawlessly. ’58 neck profile, 1-piece mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays, wraparound aluminum tailpiece, 2x black knobs, and a crack-free pickguard. No breaks or repairs. Just a stunning Gibson Junior from Gibson’s golden age.

The pickup and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickup. All original and correct.

Comes with its original alligator chipboard case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
