We present an original 1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard Goldtop. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This historical 1958 Gibson Les Paul standard Goldtop is from the same year when Gibson switched to Sunburst for their Les Paul Standard models. It’s in very good condition and shows some fantastic finish checking and honest wear, which gives this guitar an incredibly cool look – one of the most amazing mojo we ever have seen.
This Gibson Les Paul Standard is the holygrail with a rare pair of P.A.F “Patent Applied for” humbucking pickups that are totally undisturbed and factory stock. The pickups sound amazing and are well-balanced. The original Kluson deluxe tuners is in good condition and works perfect and turns smoothly.
All plastic parts including the pickup rings are original throughout and are aged totally and melted together with rest of the guitar. Everything fits 100% together. It has the original stop-bar tailpiece as well as the tune-o-matic bridge. This guitar has been played and loved for many years and many years to come.
The guitar is all original except for a professionally refret, it even has the original nylon nut. Otherwise, no breaks or any repairs. This 1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard Goldtop plays and sounds amazing. Features a 1-piece mahogany body with a maple top, as well as a one piece mahogany neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays.
Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and 100% correct.
Comes with its original Brown Gibson hardshell case with pink lining. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
