1958 Gibson LG-3 – Natural
We present an original 1958 Gibson LG-3 in natural finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This small body Gibson Acoustic is a real treat to play, and was Gibson’s highest-tiered small body acoustic model offered in the ’50s. Overall, this guitar is in very good+ condition with a lot of mojo and finish checking all over the body. It features one common tiny crack just close to the original pickguard . Other than that, it is just slight surface scratches.
It features a solid x-braced spruce top, solid Honduran mahogany back and rims, a one-piece mahogany neck, with a rosewood fretboard. This guitar’s scale length is 24 3/4″ (629 mm) and has a comfortable slightly chunky “C” neck profile.
The original Kluson tuners works perfectly and turns smoothly. The white tuner buttons has been replaced. This is a common problem with the old tuner buttons, that tend to shrunk over time. The original nylon nut is all intact and measures 1-11/16 inches. It also features the original tortoiseshell pickguard, which is in very good condition with no cracks or breaks. The rosewood bridge is original as well as the 6 bridge-pins and saddle made of bone. Just a stunning flat top with a huge voice.
It comes with the original Alligator chip board case.
