1960 Fender Champ Amplifier Tweed 5F1 – Narrow Panel
We present an original 1960 Fender Champ amplifier tweed 5F1 – Narrow Panel. Made in Fullerton, California.
This beauty is simple, elegant, and clean enough to satisfy collectors and serious players alike.
This vintage Fender Champ features its original lacquered tweed covering and the legendary 5F1 circuit. It doesn’t get much purer than the Champ. This studio favourite delivers remarkably dynamic and glassy pure tube tone that transitions effortlessly from clean to saturated overdrive with a simple twist of the single volume knob. The amp has been well maintained over the decades and retains its original 8″ speaker. The circuit has recently been serviced with new capacitors and resistors to ensure optimal performance. Both transformers are original. It comes equipped with a new 3-prong power cable and even includes the original cover.
Cosmetically, the original lacquered tweed is in excellent shape. The tweed has aged uniformly and remains in particularly good condition, featuring the original nailed-in feet and even the original leather handle.
To keep the amp as original as possible, a step-down transformer is required. We have these in stock and they can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
