1961 Fender Stratocaster – Sunburst
We present an original 1961 Fender Stratocaster in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
Condition
This is a pristine example of a 1961 Fender Stratocaster from Fender’s golden era, in overall excellent condition. The top of the body is very clean, with some nicks, dings, and other cosmetic wear, along with beautiful finish checking. There are some notable spots of wear on the side of the body and one area on the back. The maple neck is gorgeous and clean, featuring a beautiful slab rosewood fingerboard. The original 3-Tone Sunburst finish is strong with no fading.
Originality
The guitar is all original except for new frets and nut. Other than that, it’s exactly as it left the Fullerton factory in ’61. It comes complete with the original bridge cover and tremolo arm, and even includes the original instruction manual. Top-class playability and a comfortable medium C-shaped neck profile. The three original pickups are very balanced and sound fantastic and powerful. It features the original 3-ply white pickguard, which has a small crack at the tip near the horn. The three white knobs, white switch tip, and white backplate are original to the guitar and all intact and clean. The six original Kluson tuners turn perfectly and smoothly.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes with its original Brown Fender Hardshell Case with orange plush lining. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
