Description & Specifications

1962 Fender Concert Amp 6G12-A – Brownface

We present a stunning and all-original 1962 Fender Concert Amp 6G12-A – Brownface, made in Fullerton, California.

This historic amplifier is undoubtedly one of the finest examples out there — and even more impressive is the fact that it remains completely original and untouched. Just like it left Leo Fender’s Fullerton factory back in 1962.

Condition

Overall, this amplifier is in excellent condition. The original brown tolex is pristine with minimal signs of wear. The faceplate is exceptionally clean, with all text clearly visible and barely faded. The brown grill cloth is in stunning condition, with only a few small spots of wear — overall, it remains very clean.

Originality

This vintage amp features the original 6G12-A circuit and sounds amazing. It is completely untouched, meaning all the transformers, resistors, and capacitors are original — nothing has been changed. It retains the four original gold-frame Fender 10″ Oxford 10K5 speakers. Even the original 2-prong power cord is intact.

To preserve its originality, a step-down transformer is required. We have these in stock and they can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
