1962 Fender Stratocaster – Olympic White
We present an all original 1962 Fender Stratocaster in Olympic White finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This rare 1962 pre-CBS Fender Stratocaster is a collector’s dream and it’s great condition. We are the third owner of this historical piece. Well kept since 1962 and even comes complete with original tremolo cover, tremolo arm, strap and polish cloth.
Cosmetically, it has nicks, dings and scratches on the back, belt-buckle wear and other cosmetic play wear. The neck profile and headstock face is clean as it can be with only few play spots. The original frets and nut have plenty of life left. Beautiful dark rosewood slab fingerboard with clay dots. The original one-line Kluson tuners are in perfect working order as well.
The Olympic White finish is strong White, that also lead us to the early production of Fender Custom Colors. This original Olympic White finish has the Desert Sand undercoat and that is exactly what you wanna see in the early days. In the beginning Fender didn’t have thick clear coat or any clear coat on Olympic White finish like later in the the pre-CBS production. This Fender Stratocaster is powerful, resonant and extremely versatile, this is everything you’d expect from a guitar produced in the Fender’s golden age period. This guitar is so amazing and a super rare piece of history as well as a top collector piece and notch player!
Pickups remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes with its original Fender brown hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
