1962 Gibson SG Junior – Polaris White
We present an original 1962 Gibson SG Junior in its original Polaris White finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
The Gibson SG Junior has a lot of gorgeous finish checking all over the body. Nicks, dings around the frets and other spots on the guitar. The original frets has some playspots but overall there is plenty of life left in them. Beautiful dark rosewood fretboard with pearloid dots. 2 x “3 on a stripe” Kluson tuners that are in perfect working order. This guitar we got directly from Brian Ray that played it live with Paul McCartney. You can find Youtube videos with him and this guitar.
The Gibson P-90 pickup sounds amazing and is very strong and balanced. So much resonance in this 1-piece / lightweight mahogany body. It’s incredibly lively and clear acoustically. Absolutely roar and can deliver everything from glassy, articulate cleans to growling heavy overdrive.
An induction coil where added to the ground, so it had less noise, but its removed again. Otherwise the pickup electronics/wiring remains untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickup. All original and correct.
Comes with its original Alligator chipboard case. Latches and handle are also perfect and intact.
