We present an original 1962 Gibson Southern Jumbo in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This stunning square-shoulder guitar is in excellent condition, showing no signs of crack repairs. The mahogany body features particularly striking grain patterns complemented by a beautiful spruce top. The lacquer finish displays attractive checking that wraps all around the guitar, adding vintage character. It boasts a rich dark rosewood fingerboard with elegant parallelogram inlays. The guitar is detailed with cream-black-cream binding on the top and single cream binding on the back and sides.

This Gibson Southern Jumbo offers a superb setup and outstanding playability. Its sound is exceptional, even with the original adjustable saddle intact. Overall, it’s a remarkable piece of Gibson history, featuring excellent action, an ideal neck angle, crisp highs, punchy mids, and warm lows.
