1963 Fender Jazzmaster – Sunburst
We present an all original, early 1963 Fender Jazzmaster in Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This pre-CBS Fender Jazzmaster is absolutely stunning. Overall, the guitar is in excellent condition, with some belt buckle rash on the back and a few nicks and dings on the front and sides. There are several areas of notable wear, along with a variety of small scratches and marks on the back.
The tinted C-shaped neck profile and back of the headstock are exceptionally clean, showing only minor nicks and dings. This is a superb example of a pre-CBS Jazzmaster, complete with the original “spaghetti logo.” The original black bobbin pickups are well-balanced, strong, and sound absolutely fantastic. The original frets have been dressed, but there’s still plenty of life left. The fingerboard features beautifully dark rosewood with clay dot inlays. Tonally, this Jazzmaster is powerful, resonant, and remarkably versatile—everything you’d expect from a guitar made during Fender’s golden era.
It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1963.
The pickups, electronics, and wiring remain completely untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes complete with the original Fender brown hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
