1963 Fender Stratocaster – Sunburst & 1962 Fender Deluxe Amp

The history of this piece
Larry bought this guitar and amp together in 1963 from Tacoma, Washington where he and his wife Eileen lived while he was stationed and serving in the US Army. Larry took great care of the guitar and the amp, and never modified or altered anything on either of them. This set is 100% original and complete. Unfortunately Larry passed away from cancer in 2017. We purchased this Strat and Deluxe directly from Larry’s widow (Eileen Moore) and his daughter and grandson.
This guitar and amplifier is truly amazing, and one of the cleanest set we ever had. A great historical /collectors items as well as a top sounding guitar and amplifier. The guitar even comes with its original hardshell case, ashtray, tremolo arm, Fender polish cloth, polish tag and most important, the original matching number hang tag. An absolutely stunning instrument with real vintage Fender tone. This beauty will complement any high-end collection, but it definitely deserves to be played.
This is a “one owner” guitar that has spent most of its time in its hardshell case and has not been played a lot. Only few little chips, dings and other cosmetic wear. No breaks or any repairs on this pre-CBS Stratocaster. The original frets and nut have plenty of life left. The neck has a rosewood fingerboards with clay dots. The Black bottom pickups are very balanced and sound incredibly good and the strings are nice and low, play great and ring out clearly.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
