1963 Fender Stratocaster – Sunburst

We present an exceptional and all original 1963 Fender Stratocaster in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.

History

This Exceptional pre-CBS Fender Stratocaster was bought directly from the widow of the original owner back in 2017 in Missoula, Montana.

Condition

Overall, this pre-CBS Stratocaster is in near mint condition with minimal nicks, dings and other cosmetic wear – just exceptionally clean condition. The original 3-Tone Sunburst finish is absolutely stunning with barely any fading at all. No breaks or repairs on this 1963 pre-CBS Stratocaster. The maple neck is clean with not a lot of play-wear. The original frets and nut have got still some life left. The neck has one of the most beautiful (veneer) rosewood fingerboards we have ever seen.

Originality

This pre-CBS Fender Stratocaster is 100% all original with no modifications, breaks or any repairs. Just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1963. It even comes with its original white tolex hardshell case, ashtray, tremolo arm, Fender polish cloth, polish tag, guitar strap and key with envelope. It’s all there! This is a stunning time capsule and piece of history.

The 3 original black bottom pickups are very balanced and sound incredibly good. The original pickguard, knobs, backplate is all in fantastic clean and intact condition – no breaks. The original Kluson tuners turns smoothly.

Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.

It comes with the original White Tolex hardshell case that is unbelievable well-kept. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
