1963 Gibson Les Paul (SG) Junior – Cherry
We present an all original 1963 Gibson Les Paul (SG) Junior in its original Cherry finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Condition
This historic Gibson Les Paul SG Junior is in absolutely Excellent+ condition. It is incredibly clean, with only minor nicks and dings. The original Cherry finish is vibrant and beautifully transparent, allowing the lovely mahogany grain to show through. The original frets and nut are in excellent shape with plenty of life left.
It features a one-piece mahogany body and a clean, straight one-piece mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays. The headstock is as clean as can be, with the original “Les Paul Junior Model” text fully visible and intact. The original gold silk-screened “Gibson” logo is also completely preserved.
The original black plastic pickguard has a few cracks, and a small tip on the top right corner has chipped off, but it remains fully functional. It features the six original Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with the original white plastic oval buttons.
Originality
This incredible 1963 Les Paul SG Junior is 100% original, just as it left the Kalamazoo factory in 1963. No modifications, breaks, or repairs. The original dog-ear P-90 pickup sounds fantastic and delivers that classic vintage Gibson tone.
It retains the two original black plastic bell-shaped knobs (1x volume, 1x tone) with white markings, as well as the original compensated wrap-around tailpiece.
The pickup and all electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact—no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickup. Everything is original and correct.
It comes with a newer Gator hardshell case, which provides excellent protection for the guitar.
