1964 Fender Princeton Amp 6G2 – Blackface
We present an original 1964 Fender Princeton Amp 6G2 – Blackface. Made in Fullerton, California.
This 1964 Fender Princeton amplifier is a transition model, also known as the Tuxedo, with white knobs on a blackface panel, and still featuring the brownface 6G2 circuit. It runs dual 6V6s delivering 12 watts to the original Oxford speaker. The Fender Princeton is known for its pure, sweet tone and is a highly versatile vintage tube amplifier, even without on-board reverb. It features an excellent-sounding Tremolo circuit.
Overall, this 1964 Fender Princeton is in very good condition for its age. It comes with its original black tolex covering, faceplate, and grill cloth. It has been fully serviced with new capacitors, resistors, a 3-prong power cable, and the original Oxford speaker has been professionally reconed to ensure optimal performance. Both transformers are factory stock and original. It even comes complete with its original footswitch.
The original tube chart is also present.
To keep it as original as possible, you will need a step-down transformer. We have these in stock and they can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
