Description & Specifications

1964 Fender Stratocaster – Sunburst

We present an original 1964 Fender Stratocaster in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.

This pre-CBS Stratocaster is 100% original throughout except for a professional refret and a replaced nut. This guitar exudes vintage mojo, clearly loved and played since 1964, yet remains in excellent condition. It features a beautifully dark rosewood fingerboard with clay dot inlays, along with original single-line Kluson tuners in perfect working condition. The body is lightweight and highly resonant, while the grey-bottom pickups deliver a balanced tone full of depth and character. The original 3-tone Sunburst finish retains vibrant red and yellow hues with minimal fading.

Naturally, the guitar shows some honest wear, including paint wear and play spots on the back and sides. The headstock remains impressively clean and features the desirable “transition logo.” The back of the neck shows play wear that adds to its authentic vintage appeal. Overall, this is a stunning example of a pre-CBS Stratocaster—an inspiring instrument in every way.

The original pickups and electronics remain completely untouched, with no broken solder joints or re-wound pickups. Everything is factory-original and correct.

Includes the original black tolex Fender hardshell case with fully functional latches and handle.
