1964 Gibson ES-330 TD – sunburst
We present an all original 1964 Gibson Es-330 TD in sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This Es-330 TD is so acoustically resonant, the fullness of the unplugged tone translates very well through the pickups, which deliver a very dynamic and nuanced tone, with the heft and midrange fullness that only comes with the combination of a fully hollow body and a good pair of P-90 pickups!
The mahogany neck has a C-shaped profile that gains a bit of depth as you move into the higher registers of the fretboard and has a full 1 11/16″ nut width. The rosewood fretboard with block inlays is so beautiful. The original Kluson Deluxe single line tuners are intact, and these tuners turn smoothly with their original white buttons. The serial number is very clean on the back of the headstock and the “Gibson” logo is inlaid in pearl on the headstock face.
The bridge is the original nickel ABR-1 Tune-o-Matic. The original nickel trapeze tailpiece is intact, as well as the stock pickguard, switch tip, pickup covers, and gold reflector cap knobs.
The earliest, rarest, and most valuable original case offered with the ES-330, this case was made by Lifton, with black exterior and plush yellow interior. The original latches and handle are also intact.
Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
- Neck pickup: 8.18 kOhm.
- Bridge pickup: 7.98 kOhm.
- Weight: 2.75 kilograms.
