Description & Specifications

1964 Gibson ES-335 TD – Sunburst – Factory Bigsby

We present an all original 1964 Gibson ES-335 TD in its original Sunburst finish with factory Bigsby. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

History

This historical and incredible Gibson ES-335 comes directly from the original owner.

Condition

Overall, this vintage guitar is in excellent and clean condition with minor cosmetic wear. It shows a bit of playwear on the back of the neck but is otherwise in stunning shape. No breaks or repairs on this Gibson semi-hollow body. Beautiful laminated double cutaway maple body with the original factory ‘custom-made’ plate on the top, indicating that it was a custom order. One-piece mahogany neck with bound rosewood fretboard and block inlays.

The oval orange label is clean and intact, with handwritten ES-335 TD lettering. The original frets still have plenty of life and are in generally good condition. The original Kluson single-line/double-ring tuners work perfectly and turn smoothly.

Originality
This amazing ’64 ES-335 TD is 100% original throughout – Just like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1964. It even comes with its original hang tags, manual, price tag, original screwdriver, and the original receipt. It’s all there!

It comes with a rare pair of original “Patent Number” humbucking pickups. The pickups sound amazing, are well-balanced, and the covers are undisturbed. They are untouched and completely factory stock.

Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.

Comes complete with its original black Gibson hardshell case with yellow lining. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
