1964 Gibson SG Special – Polaris White
We present an original 1964 Gibson SG Special in its original Polaris White finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This Gibson SG Special is all original and 100% complete, except for one missing pearl dot at the 15th fret. Otherwise it’s exactly like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1964.
It was acquired from the family of the original owner. It features its original compensated wraparound tailpiece, bound rosewood fretboard, and 2 × “3 on a stripe” Kluson tuners. The 1-piece, lightweight mahogany body offers exceptional resonance, delivering an incredibly lively and clear acoustic tone.
The Gibson P-90 pickups sound amazing and are perfectly balanced. They can produce everything from glassy, articulate cleans to growling, heavy overdrive with ease. The 1-piece neck with a nut width of 1 11/16 inches is a joy to play. Overall, the guitar is in beautiful condition with minor nicks, dings, and finish checking. It’s a superb example with no breaks or repairs.
Comes with its original Gibson black chipboard case with a plush red interior. The latches and handle are in perfect working order.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints or rewound pickups. All original and 100% correct.
