1965 Fender Jaguar – Fiesta Red
We present an original 1965 Fender Jaguar in Fiesta Red finish with matching headstock. Made in Fullerton, California.
This Custom Color Jaguar is in absolute in near mint condition, with pearloid dots on the dark rosewood fingerboard with bound neck. It even comes complete with its original tremolo arm, bridge cover.
This guitar has been in storage for 30 years and has almost never been played. As a consequence, unfortunately the volume-pot where dead. I tried to save it with contact cleaner but the pot was too rusty and oxidized. Therefore the original pot is replaced with a brand new CTS volume-pot so it can run perfectly. Otherwise this beautiful guitar is all original with no other modifications.
There is so much resonance of this instrument when you strike your first chord, and that dynamic, soulful quality really translates into the amplified signal.
The “strangle” toggle (located on the hexagonal plate next to the individual pickup on/off switches) gives the guitar a treble heavy snap, while the rhythm circuit is a separate circuit for the neck pickup, engaging a darker tone cap. The rhythm circuit provides one of the best sounds on this guitar, with a thicker, wooly tone that still has plenty of clarity, while adding warmth to your clean signal.
The maple neck has a C-shaped profile gaining notable shoulder and roundness as you travel up the fretboard with good chunk. The original frets is like new and there is a lot of life left.
Comes with its original Fender black hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
