1965 Fender Jaguar – Lake Placid Blue – Gold Hardware
We present an all original 1965 Fender Jaguar in its original Lake Placid Blue with matching headstock and factory gold hardware. Made in Fullerton, California.
This 1965 Fender Jaguar stands out as a highly sought-after piece of musical history. Every screw, hardware component, and even the truss rod nut is finished in gold, including the iconic whammy bar. While some gold parts show natural aging, they retain their original finish.
The only part that has been replaced is a new black foam (rubber) on the flip-up mute — an entirely common maintenance item that does not affect the guitar’s originality or value. This foam naturally shrinks over time and must be replaced to function properly, much like changing strings regularly.
Featuring many desirable pre-CBS characteristics alongside transitional details such as the white pickguard, this Jaguar is a rare find. The guitar boasts all the early model features, including clay dots on the veneer rosewood fingerboard, and comes complete with its original tremolo arm.
The maple neck has a comfortable C-shaped profile paired with a beautifully grained rosewood fingerboard. The body exhibits classic nitro lacquer checking, dings, and other wear consistent with its age, adding to its vintage charm. Over the years, the gold hardware has developed an attractive patina.
All pickups, electronics, and wiring remain original and untouched—no broken solder joints or rewound pickups—ensuring authenticity and perfect functionality.
Included is the original Fender Black Tolex hardshell case, with latches and handle in flawless working condition.
