1966 Fender Electric XII – Sunburst
We present an original 1966 Fender Electric XII in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This Electric XII delivers a truly outstanding sound and is a joy to play. It features a one-piece medium-profile maple neck paired with a beautiful rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays.
The guitar is 100% original throughout except for a professional refret. Otherwise it’s just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1966. The original 4-ply brown tortoiseshell pickguard is fully intact and free from cracks. The chrome bridge with 12 individual steel saddles is also in excellent condition.
Overall, this 1966 Fender Electric XII is in excellent vintage condition, showing only light wear: minor nicks, dings, subtle finish checking, and some play wear on the back of the neck. A name and date have been etched into the finish beneath the neck plate — only visible when the plate is removed (see photo). This was a common practice among players to identify their personal instruments. No breaks, no repairs — just a clean, collector-worthy Electric XII.
The original pickups and electronics are untouched, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. Everything is original and fully functional.
Includes a newer Fender hardshell case.
